Piggy bank collections

A spiritual comment and prayer to start the day with Jo Moir
Good Morning.
When I was a kid in the 80’s there was an iconic set of ceramic piggy bank characters which you could collect at a well-known bank. There was a baby, a sister, a brother and a mummy and daddy piggy bank to collect the more you saved. I didn’t make it all the way to the dizzying heights of securing a daddy pig, but when I opened my first account as a wide-eyed first-time saver it seemed like the pinnacle of capital investment to me!
What we do with our money is a deeply personal subject and we all have different perspectives on it. Some of us are very open, discussing investments or credit scores, some of us were raised to never talk about money at all.
I’m continuing with the national week of prayer and today thinking of those who work in the sphere of finance, capital, and economy. In the Bibles parable of the talents in Matthew 25: 14-30 I am reminded to be a good steward of all I have and to handle my resources with accountability and integrity.
And so I pray that you Lord would Guide those in finance in how we handle what we have. May my finances be used for good intentions and purposes which reflect my values. May investments whether large or small be wise and used to not only support those around me but those who have less than me. In Jesus name.
Amen
I never did get that big final piggy bank as a child, but I treasure the little one I do have!
Bless you
