A composer from Orkney, Erland Cooper finds his inspiration from the natural world.

For this episode, the first of a new series, we start afresh with a soundtrack of calming, rejuvenating tracks inspired by the magic of the morning dew. As Erland reflects on grassy, glistening landscapes, we’ll hear music instilled with dewdrop dreaminess by the likes of Floating Points, Anita Tatlow and Lonnie Liston Smith.

Also, we’re transported to the musical safe haven of the iconic Brazilian musician and actor Seu Jorge, who shares the beautiful jazz guitar piece that always brings him calm.
