Linton Stephens showcases remarkable performances from across the UK and abroad.

Linton continues his week on Classical Live with visits to festivals in France and Denmark today, featuring performances of Mozart’s oboe quartet and of Rachmaninov’s impassioned 3rd Piano Concerto with soloist Isata Kenneh-Mason. As Radio 3 continues to celebrate Black British artists, as the BBC partners with V&A East Museum's exhibition The Music is Black, Isata’s brother Sheku also joins the Classical Live party today in a recent Paris performance of Ernest Bloch’s cello rhapsody “Schelomo”.

We’ll also hear Beethoven from The Ulster Orchestra and Jacquet de la Guerre from a recent studio recording made by Radio 3’s current New Generation Baroque Ensemble – The Bellot Ensemble.
