A vibrant classical playlist to lift your morning

Sarah Walker with the perfect playlist to accompany your Sunday morning, including a brand new recording of Mozart’s 20th Piano Concerto.

This week, Sarah Walker's playlist includes dreamy Satie, sprightly Bach and music by Mendelssohn which transports us back to midsummer.

Sarah will also share a brand new recording of Mozart’s stormy 20th Piano Concerto from Australian pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra - the latest in a highly praised series exploring Mozart’s keyboard concertos on the Harmonia Mundi label.

Much loved for its ethereal sounds and luminous harmonies, today’s choral reflection is Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium, in the safe hands (and voices) of Voces8.

And to mark the beginning of World Space Week, Sarah has picked out music fitting for the occasion for her Sunday Sequence.

A Tandem Production for BBC Radio 3.
