Making waves internationally, the Stoke five-piece release their debut album. Plus Leek superproducer James Ellis Ford is in conversation. With Andrew Marston.

Warning: This show may contain future headliners! Andrew Marston introduces the best new music from our area, including:

• A hospital bed, a laptop and some of the biggest names in music. James Ellis Ford tells us how he carried on producing a War Child album while fighting for his own life.

• A rock legend, a Shropshire birthplace and a blue plaque... we're in Oswestry celebrating the remarkable story of Mott The Hoople's Ian Hunter.

• In our Music News: Find out why it's the Gallagher brothers versus an auction house in Evesham, the first confirmed act for next summer's Live at Ludlow Castle series and the Nantwich singer appearing on The Voice Germany.

• Shropshire musician Nikki Rous has spent years giving other artists a platform. Now she’s using her own music to shine a light on disability and isolation.

• From busking on the streets of London to topping the iTunes chart, Redditch's Lucy May Walker’s journey began right here with BBC Introducing. Now she’s back with a brand-new album.

• We first came across Sunjay at Kidderminster College. Now, as he releases his tenth studio album, even Radio 2's Blues Show has been asking about his story.

• In our Festival Guide: We’ve got all the details of this weekend’s Oktoberfest in Shrewsbury.

• One gig outside Stoke was once on their bucket list... now The Crystal Teardrop are touring Europe and playing some of the UK's biggest venues. We hear from them as they launch their brand new album.
