There’s certainly a lot of veiled complaints about the immoral behaviour of the English builders in Derry, in Coleraine and in Draperstown. In the Draperstown records, there is a reference to a woman becoming pregnant by one of these settlers.
One commentator asks that men be sent who respect God, and not the sort of drunken reprobates that they were actually receiving in Ulster.
As far as I know, there is no direct reference to prostitution, but by implication in the descriptions that you would have of the immoral behaviour of the builders, you could certainly come to the conclusion that it did happen, yeah.
