Complaint
A reader pointed out that this article had mistakenly described Nawaf Salam as Prime Minister of Israel (rather than Lebanon). The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the BBC’s editorial standards of accuracy.
Outcome
Before the complaint was escalated to the ECU, BBC News had rectified the inaccuracy and added an explanatory note. This was enough to resolve the issue of complaint.
