As part of BBC Introducing LIVE, we're hosting a special event at The Fire Station in Sunderland on Friday 6th November, 2026

BBC Introducing LIVE will take over The Fire Station for a day of panels, open mic sessions, and an industry feedback centre. This event will offer attendees the chance to network with top tier industry leaders and receive personal feedback on their music.

The day will feature engaging panels designed to help you develop your music career, grow your audience, and build your brand, alongside a Feedback Centre staffed by industry experts from major & independent labels, BBC presenters & producers, and other key figures from across the music industry. These professionals will be on hand to listen to your music, share their expertise, and provide valuable feedback to help you develop your sound and refine your craft.

There will also be a limited number for slots for attendees to showcase their talent by participating in the Open Mic slot, you have to be 18+ to enter.

Since its inception, BBC Introducing has championed unsigned British musicians through the BBC Introducing Uploader, with 23 local radio shows and six national shows on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Asian Network, and 6 Music. Many successful artists, including Ed Sheeran, Raye, Olivia Dean, Sam Fender, and Loyle Carner, began their careers with support from BBC Introducing.

Ticket Prices

Tickets are priced at £18 : £15 plus a £3 booking fee (per ticket).

There is a maximum of 6 tickets per customer.

The booking fee is retained by The Fire Station and contributes to operational costs including card payment processing costs, customer service and account handling costs.

Event Restrictions

You need to be 16 or over to attend this event.

You will be asked for photographic ID at the entrance. Acceptable forms of ID are a valid passport or a valid EU photo card driving license.

Tickets are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you have received a confirmation email.

All tickets for this event will be issued as e-tickets. You will be able to access and download your e-ticket(s) 5 days before the event.

Travel

There is no parking available at The Fire Station. However, there are a number of public car parks within a short walking distance of the venue, including Bridges Car Park (approximately 0.2 miles) and St Mary's Car Park (approximately 0.3 miles).

The Fire Station is located in Sunderland city centre and is well served by public transport. The nearest Metro station is Sunderland (approximately 0.3 miles), and Sunderland railway station is approximately 0.8 miles from the venue.

Food & Drink

Food and drink will be available to purchase at The Fire Station. Only food and beverages purchased at the venue may be consumed within the auditorium.

Prohibited Items

For the safety and comfort of all visitors, the following restrictions apply:

  • Food and beverages purchased outside the venue are not permitted within the auditorium (with the exception of water, where permitted by the venue).

  • Large bags (larger than a handbag) are not permitted. Bag searches may be carried out on entry, and refusal to allow a bag search may result in refusal of entry.

  • Glass containers and other dangerous items are not permitted.

  • Items that may present a safety risk, including knives, sticks, batons, heavy or sharp objects, laser pointers, chemicals and aerosols, are prohibited.

  • Photography, video recording and audio recording within the auditorium are not permitted unless expressly authorised by the artist or event organiser.
