Football fans are being urged to contact police after a footballer was arrested on suspicion of breaking an opponent's jaw during a match in Essex.
The allegation involves a Blue Square Premier League game between Grays Athletic and York City on 22 September.
Former Charlton Athletic and England Under-21 defender Jamie Stuart was questioned after York forward Chris Beardsley's jaw was broken.
Essex Police want to hear from anyone who was at the game at Grays.
Red card
A police spokesman said a 30-year-old man from Sidcup, Kent, had been arrested and released on bail until 7 December.
Mike Woodward, chairman of Grays, said Mr Stuart had been sent off early in the game for an alleged "off-the-ball incident".
He said: "He went to the police station voluntarily and was bailed. He has been fined for being given a red card, but that's it."
A York City spokeswoman said 23-year-old Mr Beardsley "had had metal pins inserted into his jaw, which was broken in two places.
