Boxer held in immigration inquiry
Herbie Hide
Herbie Hide has held a world championship belt
Boxer Herbie Hide has been arrested on suspicion of helping an illegal immigrant enter the UK.

The former WBO heavyweight champion was detained by police at Stansted Airport on Thursday night.

He was later released on police bail.

Essex police said a 30-year-old man from Bawburgh near Norwich was questioned in relation to "facilitating illegal entry into the UK".

Another man who was with him has been handed over to the immigration service.

The boxer is reported to have been returning from a trip to Nigeria where he has family.
